This website is an archive of historic photographs of Grimsby and Cleethorpes. This page explains what we do with your information, in plain terms.

We don't track you

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking of any kind. We don't know who you are, where you came from, or which pages you looked at, and there is nothing to share with anyone.

Leaving a comment

The only time we collect anything is when you choose to leave a comment on a photograph. We ask for three things:

• Your name — published alongside your comment
• Your email address — never published, and only ever visible to the curator
• Your comment, and which photograph you left it on

We do not record your IP address or any details about your browser. Every comment is read by the curator before it appears on the site.

Where the information is held

The site runs on Vercel, its database is hosted by Neon, and the photographs, recordings and films are stored with Cloudflare. These suppliers hold the information on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Comments remain on the site as part of the archive. If you would like yours removed, just ask.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@grimsbyandcleethorpesmuseum.com and we will sort it out.
