From the original negative. The location is the Old Market Place (see sign) / Bethlehem Street near St. James’ Church (now Grimsby Minster). The shop by the bus stop is Eleanor Wilson, ladies wear, ladies hairdresser, Old Market Place.

An A.E.C. Regent III bus with a Roe body. First licensed and entered service in Grimsby/Cleethorpes in January 1947. In service until 1966. Sold to Hambleton (dealer) and was scrapped at Searby by August 1967. Sister bus No. 81 JV 9901 was preserved. Still in existence.
