Merryweather & Sons of London, were builders of steam fire engines and steam tram engines. The roots of the company go back to the 1690s. Moses Merryweather (1791–1872) took control of the the company c1830s and he was joined by his sons in the mid-1800s and the name Merryweather & Sons evolved. Merryweather’s products were sent all over the world.
