An original Empire Theatre poster from Christmas 1959. The poster was sent to Ken “Mr Entertainment” Turner of Horncastle.

We believe that ‘Babes in the Wood’ was the Empire’s last pantomine. Doug Perritt (1919-1992) was the manager at the time. His father, Frank (1895-1975), and his uncle, Charles (1905-1986), ran the theatre as Perritt Bros. after the second world war.

Note: Charles Perritt Ltd. had a music shop at 242 Freeman Street, Grimsby.
