John Thomas Sizer was a watchmaker, jeweller and silversmith with a shop at 130 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby. His business was established in 1870 when he was a watchmaker living with Matthew Sizer (1797-1871), nursery seedsman and florist, at 82 Victoria Street, Grimsby. (Matthew Sizer was John Thomas’ father’s cousin.) Frederick William Sizer, the son of John Thomas Sizer was running the business from before 1904 until his death in 1920.

In ever loving memory of, John Thomas, the dearly loved husband of Fanny Sizer, born March 11th 1851. Died December 3rd 1928. ———- At rest.

Also Fanny, the beloved wife of the above born April 11th 1856. Died June 7th 1932. ———- Re-united.

Sacred to the memory of Fred, the dearly loved husband of Olive Sizer. Died March 12th 1920, aged 42 years. ———- Memoriam recordaiam relinquens.

Also Arthur, beloved husband of Edna Baxter, died Jan. 12th 1947.

Edna Baxter died 23rd Nov. 1972 Madge Hookham died 25th March 1975 aged 77 years Norah Baxter 23rd Oct. 1993 aged 84
