From the original negative. ‘St. Phillip’ was leaving and ‘St. Patrick’ was late arriving giving a rare opportunity to capture both vessels together.

‘St. Phillip’ LT.144 was a stern trawler built in 1976 by Richards (Shipbuilders) Ltd., Great Yarmouth for Claridge Trawlers Ltd. The stern trawler, ‘St. Patrick’ LT.129, was built in 1976 by the same shipbuilders for the same owner.

In 1986, ‘St. Phillip’ was sold to Riverside Trawlers, Grimsby and became ‘Kerry Kathleen’ LT.144. In 1990, she was sold to Colne Shipping Co Ltd. and converted into the stand by vessel ‘St Phillip’. In 1998, she was renamed ‘Viking Vulcan’ by Viking Standby Ltd., Montrose. After being badly damaged by fire, she was scrapped in the the River Tees in 2009.

‘St. Patrick’ was sold to J. Marr & Son, Hull in 1986 and was registered as ‘Gavina’ H.24. In 1989, she was sold to Colne Shipping Co Ltd. and, in 1990, was converted into the stand by vessel ‘St Patrick’. In 1995, she was renamed ‘Viking Vixen’ by Viking Standby Ltd., Montrose. Broken up in Esbjerg in 2006.
