Anglia TV; Miss Cleethorpes 1967 silver bracelet.

A heavy, silver, floral bracelet with a 1966 Birmingham hallmark. The maker is B&W.

Miss Cleethorpes 1967 appeared on live TV when one of Anglia TV’s ‘Carnival Time’ programmes was broadcast from Grimsby’s Central Hall. The girls on the show were taking part in the ‘Miss Anglia’ section of the show. The hosts were Bob Monkhouse and Peter Murray. Cleethorpes was at the northern limit for live transmission to Anglia at Norwich. They used a bouncing microwave link for the pictures. The sound went via Post Office phone lines. The show was broadcast live to homes in the region on Saturday 5th August 1967.
