Rod Temperton who wrote ‘Thriller’, and many other well-known songs, was born at this address in Cleethorpes.

This blue plaque, placed high on the wall of 261 Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes by the Grimsby Cleethorpes and District Civic Society says it all.

Most have never heard of Rod Temperton but will almost certainly know his songs. ‘Thriller’ is the title track of the biggest selling album of all time so Rod Temperton certainly achieved his ambition.
