In infrared photography, the special film is sensitive to infrared light. A black / deep red filter is used to block most of the visible light spectrum. The pictures produced have a dreamlike appearance where grass and leaves look white as though they are covered in snow. Other features of infrared photography include darker skies and penetration of haze.
