An original photograph which had been in a glass frame since the 1960s. The fading has been corrected.

There’s a lot of interesting, sharp detail in the full-size scan. Alexandra Dock, Victoria Mills, Corporation Bridge, the Dock Tower and the Dock Offices can be seen in the background.

A once, much-loved toy shop, Evington’s, can be seen in the Bull Ring.
