A very rare chalk stream waterfall near Tealby c1909.

An original, posted pictorial postcard published by C. Fieldhouse, Market Rasen.

This waterfall is regarded by a few as a ‘magical’ place. The location is not accessible.

Christopher Thomas Fieldhouse was a photographer, toy dealer, a fancy goods dealer living at 37/39 Queen Street, Market Rasen. His son, Christopher Samuel Fieldhouse, was a photographer, newsagent and picture frame maker living at Queen Street, Market, Rasen. Christopher Thomas Fieldhouse (1836-1903) was born in Barnard Castle, County Durham. Christopher Samuel Fieldhouse (1880-1939) was born in Market Rasen. (His daughter, Minnie Christabel Fieldhouse, a music teacher, died in Cromer, Norfolk in 1980.)

This postcard was posted in Burnley on 12th October 1909. The recipient was Miss E. Collins, ‘The Stepple’, Clunton, Aston on Clun, Shropshire. Edith was a dairy farmer’s daughter.
