Thomas Tickler’s recipe forNell Gwyn’ marmalade dates back to 1887. Tickler’s recipes still exist today. ‘Nell Gwyn’ marmalade was later sold by Crosbie’s, a company with links to Tickler’s. Tickler’s and Crosbie’s jams were advertised together in a 1928 German newspaper, Lübecker Volksbote.
