Ida Mary Snelson (1910-1913) by C. Lewis 1913.

An original photograph. It says on the back, “Ida Mary Snelson. Age 3 the 13th August 1913.”

Sadly, poor, little Ida didn’t make her third birthday. She was buried on 5th March 1913 and is buried in Cleethorpes Cemetery. Ida’s parents were Albert Henry Snelson (1872-1956), a boot maker and repairer born in Wappenham, Northamptonshire, and Lilian Snelson (1877-1940, née Blakey), born Welton-le-Marsh, Lincolnshire. The couple married in the Spilsby area. They had two other children and lived at 39 Johnson Street, New Cleethorpes for many years.

The photographer was C. Lewis, 172 Oxford Street, Grimsby. We have no details for C. Lewis.
