An original photographic postcard by Arjay Productions of Doncaster. Arjay Productions was one of the spin-off companies which sprung up after the closure of Doncaster Rotophoto (1918-1923). Other spin-offs were Donlion (1924-) and Empire View Productions.

The postcard was posted from Cleethorpes but the stamp is missing. “East Coast Jazz Festival”, Cleethorpes. Aug. 1-2-3. has been rubber stamped on the reverse. The Festival took place on these dates in 1964. The senders were Mum, Dad and Edwin. The addressee is Derek ?, P.O. Box 1715, Khartoum, Sudan. Mum, Dad and Edwin are on holiday in Cleethorpes after suffering illness and being very busy.
