‘Ross Kipling’ was built in 1957 by Cochrane’s Shipyard, Selby for Derwent Trawlers. In 1966, she was lengthened and re-engined and went to Newfoundland in 1967. Upon her return in 1968, she was sold to G. F. Sleights and registered as GY.126.

In 1982, ‘Ross Kipling’ GY.126 went to Aberdeen and was converted to the standby vessel ‘Grampian Freedom’. Broken up by Cook Bros., New Holland in 1991.
