A set of four Marks & Spencer ARP warden badges c1939.

Original, large, enamel badges manufactured by L. Simpson & Co. Ltd., London. A photo kindly provided by a private, Lincolnshire collection.

Just before the outbreak of WW2, each Marks & Spencer store appointed ARP wardens. The wardens were issued with these beautifully designed badges according to their ARP role.
