‘Leonora’ GY.20 ashore at Withernsea 1904.
An original, unposted photographic postcard by an unknown publisher. On the reverse it says, “Came ashore at Withernsea – Yorks 1904 – still there early 1905”.
Built by Cochrane & Sons, Shipbuilders, Selby in 1904 for Lindsey Steam Fishing Co. Ltd. Requisitioned for the duration of WW1 and returned to Lindsey Steam Fishing Co. Ltd. Lost with all 9 hands whilst fishing in 1940. The wreck was found in 1982.
