The poster in the window states that the British Red Cross Society is in its Centenary Year 1859-1959. New members are welcome.
The shop to the left (No. 18) is Barbers, pet shop, seedsmen etc. The shop to the right (No. 14) is E.A. Broadburn, chemist ,which was on the corner of Bentley Street. Eventually the chemist’s shop occupied Nos. 14 & 16.
