ABC Cleethorpes; Norman Vaughan and his all star guests 1962.

The ABC Cleethorpes, originally the Ritz Cinema, opened on July 31, 1937, on Grimsby Road as a premier 1,429-seat venue designed by Robert Cromie. Renamed in 1959, it became a key community hub, was subdivided into a bingo club and smaller cinema in 1972. The ABC closed in 1982 and was sadly demolished in 1993 following a fire in 1985. The site is now occupied by a McDonald’s restaurant.
Note: Edna Savage also appeared at the Empire Theatre, Cleethorpes in 1957.
