Hicks Watercress Beds, Healing. An original, real photographic postcard c1910.
An original real photographic postcard, date about 1910, showing the Hicks Watercress Beds which were situated close to the railway station. The area lent itself to watercress production because of the underlying aquifer which brought water to the surface. Production ceased sometime after 1910 but the watercress beds were established again in 1946 and ended about 1970.
