Built in 1929 as ‘Argus’ E.548 by N. P. Jensen’s Skibs & Bådebyggeri, Esbjerg, Denmark. In 1978, she came to Danbrit Fishing Company, Grimsby as ‘Argus’ GY.372. In the same year, she was registered as ‘Helga Maria’ GY.372. In 1982, she was converted to pleasure boat at Sjællands Odde, Denmark.

In 1991, ‘Helga Maria’ was taken on an epic voyage from Whitby to the Arctic. The antics of Captian Jack Lammiman were the inspiration for the film ‘Captain Jack’.
