Note the famous ‘Lincoln Imp’ shoulder patches (the most easily visible one shown by the red arrow). It was unusual for pictorial designs to be worn in place of county designations and numbers. Lincolnshire did their own thing!

Stanley J. Warren was a prolific and excellent photographer in the Grimsby area, especially in the 1920s and 1930s. His address is given as 53 Ainslie St., Grimsby. Stanley Warren was born c1889. He married Elizabeth Lingard in Grimsby, during WWII, in 1944 and he died in Grimsby in 1963, aged 72.
