The company, E. S. Rudkin Ltd. still exists. It was established in 1865 by Joseph Rudkin and incorporated by his grandson Edward Shaw Rudkin in 1928. E. S. Rudkin Ltd. is now managed by the 5th generation of the Rudkin family.

Edward Shaw Rudkin was Mayor of the Borough of Grimsby in 1942 (November 1941 to November 1942?).
