The first Woolworths store in the area opened on Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby in 1913. This Freeman Street branch opened in 1925 and closed in 1971. The Victoria Street branch closed in 2008 together with all UK Woolworths stores. (The name Woolworths is still used in other countries.)
