River trip to see the Humber Forts c1940s.
The Humber Forts are two large WW1 fortifications in the mouth of the Humber Estuary; Haile Sand Fort and Bull Sand Fort.
This is Bull Sand Fort, the larger and more northerly of the two. It was still manned when this photo was taken. At least one man and a rubber dinghy are visible.
