Where Scartho Fork roundabout is today. A much quieter scene then! The photo was taken from approximately where the centre of roundabout is now. Scartho Road, from Grimsby, runs where the thatched cottage was. The side road on the photo leads to Sunny Corner.

The signpost points left to Grimsby and right to Waltham, Binbrook, Market Rasen and Lincoln.

This real photographic postcard was sent from Manchester in March 1908 to Mrs M. H. Bucknall of College Cottage, Scartho. It’s signed ‘your loving son’. (No ‘e’ on Scartho.)
