Edward Bailey Stockham of 8 Lambert Road, Grimsby was a school photographer (but not exclusively). He was born in Southwark, London in 1854. The address on the reverse of his early work was in Kensington London. He married his first wife there in 1874.

By 1881, Edward Bailey Stockham was working as a photographer in Witney, Oxfordshire. He married his second wife, Fanny Isabel Stattersfield, in Newark Nottinghamshire in 1888. By 1901, they were living at 38 Cromwell Road, Grimsby and onto 56 Lambert Road by 1911.

Edward Bailey Stockham died in Grimsby in 1923, aged 69. Fanny died in Grimsby in 1945, aged 80.
