Grimsby

A postcard facsimile of an original watercolour drawing by Albert George Stevens (1863-1925). Printed and published by J. W. Ruddock of Lincoln as part of their “Artist” Series.

Albert George Stevens was a founding member of the Staithes Art Group, based near Whitby in North Yorkshire; he painted in the impressionist style, mainly in water colours. It is believed that just four paintings of Grimsby were produced on postcards and date to about 1903/04.
