Lifeboat Hotel, Kingsway, Cleethorpes pre-WW1.

A high quality scan of an original ‘Kingsway Real Photo Series’ postcard. The posting date from Cleethorpes to Nottingham isn’t quite legible but the halfpenny stamp indicates that it dates to pre-WW1.

The address of the Lifeboat Hotel in the early 20th century was 40, Kingsway but it later expanded to the corner. The licensee in 1909 was W. Cronshaw.

Sadly demolished in 1999. Apartments have been built in its place.
