Grimsby Fish DocksWartime

A book of 119 pages of codes, 23 or 46 codes per page. It is believed that these codes were used by skippers to send secret messages from ship to ship and ship to shore via radio.

Six skippers are named plus the trawler ‘Aquarius’. Aquarius belonged to Lindsey Steam Fishing Co. Ltd., Fish Docks, Grimsby (Edwin Bacon’s). She hit a German mine near the Outer Dowsing Light Vessel on 25th Feb 1945. All crew were lost.

Additional information would be welcome.
