Medal to commemorate the opening of People’s Park in 1883.

A medal produced to commemorate the opening of People’s Park, Great Grimsby by Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Connaught on 17th August 1883.

The land for the park was the gift of Edward Heneage Esq. M.P.. The Mayor at the time was William Jackson Esq..

The medal was struck by ‘Lewis’.
