The King and Queen in Bethlehem Street, Grimsby on 22nd July 1912.
Most probably a privately taken photograph.
The King and Queen in an open carriage procession in Bethlehem Street, presumably having previously arrived at the railway station. The large building to the left is The Yarborough Hotel and on the extreme right is the shop of Charles William Godson listed in Kelly’s 1905 Directory as a draper at 23 Bethlehem Street. The arch in the centre of the picture remains today but the little shops to the right have gone, including Charles Godsons, and the façade has been altered and modernised.
