Corporation Hotel, 88 Freeman Street, Grimsby pre-WW1.

Grimsby

An unposted, pre-WW1 postcard by Richard Johnson & Sons, Printers, Lowgate, Hull.

Walter Colton Brown (1860-1929) was the proprietor at this time. It seems that Bass provided the beer!

To the right of the Corporation Hotel is the furniture dealer, Imperial Furnishing Co. at 84 & 86 Freeman Street. The showroom is upstairs.

This Grade II Listed Building still survives and is still recognisable today on the corner of Nelson Street and Freeman Street. It is now the Corporation Arms.
