Any ideas as to what’s going on here?

This is the original photographic postcard by an unknown photographer. It was posted on 25th February 1906 by Mr J. Gee in Grimsby to his sister, Mrs J. H. (John Hart) Carbines, at a grocers shop in Tregenna Place, St. Ives, Cornwall. Does anyone know of this family?
