A watercoloured print by S. Noble. The date of the painting is not known but the view of the shop is given as c1890.

William Edward Topliss, draper, milliner, dress maker, grocer, provision merchant, boot and shoe warehouse and clothier of Ludgate Hill in Waltham. He also had warehouses in London and Manchester and a shop in Laceby.

At a later date, Mr. Topliss had another shop in Waltham near the junction of Barnoldby Road and Brigsley road.
