Grimsby motorcycle rally at Nun’s Farm c1910.

The motorcycles are parked outside Nun’s Farm at Nun’s Corner. All the motorcycles have Grimsby “EE” registration plates.

This is an original, unposted real photo postcard by the Photo Dept., Porri’s News Bureau (P.N.B.), Grimsby.

The proprietor of the news bureau (established 1882) was Louis Porri, journalist and well-known correspondent of 13 & 15 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby.

Louis Porri’s son, Cyril, flew with the Royal Flying Corps in WW1 and became an expert in aerial photography. He was appointed Chief Instructor at the Air Ministry’s School of Photography. Later he served as an Intelligence Officer in WW2.
