“Millfields”, Bargate, Grimsby c1920s.

Grimsby

The decoration at the top of the property shows that “Millfields” was built in 1879. It was built for Robert Cook, chemist and is now one of the best surviving large houses of this period in the Grimsby area. “Millfields” is now a hotel of the same name.

A Grade II Listed Building.

A conservatory was added to the right of the hotel in the 1990s for use as a dining area. This original c1920s photograph appears to show an earlier structure in the same position.
