Yarra House, Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes c1890.

A large house overlooking the Pier Gardens and the sea and situated between Albert Road and Yarra Road where Cleethorpes Library is today. Joseph Chapman J.P. lived here for many years.

This is a unique albumen photograph from a c1890s family album. The photographer is unknown.

By the 1920s, the building was The Yarra Cafe, prop. H. Kelly. In the 1950s, it was Cleethorpes Youth Hostel. The building was demolished before 1970.
