Bus in Grimsby Road in 1968.

A No. 3 bus (HJV 564) in Grimsby Road heading for Cleethorpes Bathing Pool.

The location is outside Langton Carpets at 19/23 Grimsby Road. On the far left is the Clee Park Hotel (Hewitts), No. 1, on the Grimsby-Cleethorpes border. The hotel has been demolished.

Also visible is Susan’s Cakes (No. 3), Bonnets & Bows, bridalwear (No. 5) and Brown’s sweets and tobacco shop (No. 17).

The white car is a Ford Zephyr Mk 3. The NS 33 plate was first registered in Glasgow. The extra lamp on the ‘A’ pillar suggests that it’s a taxi. The van behind the bus is a Ford Thames 400E. [With thanks to Richard Fletcher for the identifications.]
