Its an Atlantic Blue-fin Tuna Thunnus thynnus. Nowadays a specimen this size would be worth millions (£). When this phoro was taken there was hardly any market for them!
A huge tuna landed at Grimsby c1910.

The proprietor of the news bureau (established 1882) was Louis Porri, journalist and well-known correspondent of 13 & 15 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby.
Louis Porri’s son, Cyril, flew with the Royal Flying Corps in WW1 and became an expert in aerial photography. He was appointed Chief Instructor at the Air Ministry’s School of Photography. Later he served as an Intelligence Officer in WW2.
