The steam tug ‘Englishman’ towing ‘King Sol’ GY.338 back to Grimsby after she ran aground off Iceland in 1955.
King Sol was the largest trawler to be built for Grimsby since WW1. She was built in 1936 by Cochrane & Sons, Selby for the Rinovia Steam Fishing Co Ltd., Grimsby.
During WW11, 1939-1945, King Sol was requisitioned for war service. In 1945, she was returned to the owners.
Scrapped in 1961.
