‘Brenda Fisher’ was launched at Harkers Shipyard, Knottingley in 1955. The tug was lunched by Brenda Fisher herself, a famous long-distance swimmer from Grimsby. In 1951 she broke the women’s world record for swimming the English Channel. Brenda is the daughter of a Grimsby trawler skipper.

‘Churchill’ GY.585 was built in 1948 by Alexander Hall & Co. in Aberdeen. She was delivered initially to Amalgamated Trawlers and acquired by Consolidated Fisheries Ltd. in 1952. She was scrapped in Belgium in 1968. The last ‘non-footballer’ in the fleet.
