The large sign reads, “Noble & Co., Wholesale Confectioners, Freeman Street, Grimsby. We sell Cadbury’s Chocolate.”

Noble & Co. also had refreshment rooms on Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes. It’s clear that this is the place. The shop is still easily recognisable today i.e. 42 Alexandra Road.

In 1909, Noble & Co., wholesale confectioners, had premises at 294, Victoria Street, Grimsby. In later years, there were a number of confectionery shops named ‘Noble’s’ in Grimsby and Cleethorpes including one in Old Market Place, Grimsby.

The sign on the left reads, “Mrs Garvin, Cleveland House Apartments.” The apartments appear to be accessed through the door on the left.
