20 and 19 People’s Park, Grimsby c1930s

An original photograph of a pair of Edwardian villas opposite People’s Park. The houses look much the same today.

The photo was taken by George H. Greenwood of 36 Hainton Avenue, Grimsby. We was a well-known Grimsby photographer through the 1920s and 1930s and into the 1940s. He lived at Spring Villa (no. 30) Hainton Avenue. His studio appears to have been at 36 Hainton Avenue. It’s likely that George died in 1958, aged 73.
