The Rectory, Beelsby c1903.
An image rescued from a very old and very, very faded photographic postcard published by Renaud of Chorlton-cum-Hardy.
The postcard was posted in Grimsby by the Rev. Charles Ambrose Old on 22nd December 1903. He was sending seasons greetings to The Misses, Howe & Barlow, 45 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester.
The Rev Charles Ambrose Old was born in Portsea, Hampshire in 1849. He was assistant curate in Chorlton-cum-Hardy from 1881 until 1900 when he became the Rector of St. Andrew’s Church, Beelsby near Grimsby. He died in 1910 and is buried at Beelsby.
Thanks to Tony Gould for part of the information.
