Thomas Brown was still working as a chemist, aged 96, at 384 Victoria Street, Grimsby. He died, aged 100, in 1933.

There must be something in the water in Grimsby. England’s oldest dentist, J. Campbell Keay of Grimsby, retired in 2002, aged 91. He died in 2004. His surgery was in Dudley Street.
