The postcard was posted in Boston by J. W. Hudson on 13th May 1921. The addressee is Mr(s). F. P. Summers, Baker etc., Wainfleet St. Mary.

The message is, “Forgot to mention today Grimsby will allow you 9d for those plain sacks but say they don’t really want them or if you prefer will despatch them to you”.

Note: Field, Sons & Co. of Scott Works, Hollingwood Lane, Lidget Green, Clayton, Bradford was established by Martin Field in 1850. It was incorporated as a Limited Company in 1905. The company was still going in the 1980s.
