‘Ross Eagle’ was built in 1961 by Cochrane & Sons of Selby for Ross Trawlers. The ‘Bird Class’ trawlers were the smallest of the three classes of trawler built for Ross Group. The vessels fished near are middle water grounds.

Under B.U.T. ownership, ‘Ross Eagle’ fished mainly put of Fleetwood and Aberdeen but retained her Grimsby registry. She was converted to an oil rig support vessel in 1975. Renamed ‘Inagua’. Scrapped in 1992.
