H.M.S. Ostrich, a destroyer, was launched in Glasgow in 1900. She spent much of WW1 protecting the Firth of Forth. From July 1917, she moved south and was part of the East Coast Convoy Flotilla and had 63 officers and men on board. She was based at Lowestoft until the end of the war.
H.M.S. Ostrich was broken up in 1920.
