‘S.S. Dewsbury’; the first vessel to sail from the Port of Immingham 1910.

The ‘S.S. Dewsbury’ was a Grimsby registered passenger and cargo vessel built for the Great Central Railway in 1910. She sailed from the West Jetty at Immingham on 17th June 1910.
‘S.S. Dewsbury’ was was one of an order for four ships, the others being Bury, Blackburn and Accrington. ‘S.S. Dewsbury’ undertook, this, her maiden voyage from Grimsby/Immingham to Antwerp on this day.
‘S.S. Dewsbury’ was built by Earle’s shipbuilding in Hull. She was scrapped in 1959.
